What we do
Six services that take a plant from its field devices to its business systems. Use one, or let us do all of it.
SCADA & HMI Development
Operator screens, alarms, trends and reports, on Ignition or Siemens WinCC.
Read morePLC Programming
Control programs for Siemens, Allen-Bradley and CODESYS controllers, bench-tested before they reach your plant.
Read moreMES & Industrial Information Systems
Production tracking, OEE and batch management, connected to your ERP.
Read moreIIoT & Cloud Integration
Field data to the cloud over MQTT and OPC UA, with AWS IoT for remote monitoring.
Read moreData Collection & Reporting
Historian databases, dashboards and automatic reports.

How a project runs
-
Talk
It starts with a call, or a visit to the plant if it is close enough. We want to see the machines, the field devices and the control systems you already have, and hear what is going wrong.
Call or site visit
-
Scope
Before any work starts we write down what we will deliver and what we need from your side.
Written scope
-
Build and test
We build and test on our own equipment first. For PLC code that means a Siemens S7-1200 test bench, so most mistakes are found before anything reaches your plant.
Bench test
-
Commission
We install and commission on site, and we train the people who will use the system.
Training on site
-
Support
After go-live we fix what breaks. A monthly support agreement is available if you want one.
Optional monthly support
Case studies
We will add client projects here only when the client agrees. Until then, this demonstration shows how we build things.
Nedama Dairy: SCADA and MES on Ignition
A demonstration dairy plant, built on Ignition with every screen in Perspective. It shows what one system can do for a dairy, from the tanker arriving to the truck leaving.

Learning Ignition?
We help students and engineers who are getting started with Ignition, through workshops, webinars and one-to-one sessions, online or in Nairobi.
Find out moreQuestions we get asked
The short answers. For anything else, write to info@nedama.com.
Where do you work?
We are based in Nairobi and take on projects across East Africa. If a project is too big or outside what we know, we say so in the first conversation.
Why do you recommend Ignition?
Ignition is licensed by server, not per tag or per screen, so a plant can grow without paying for every new screen. It runs in a web browser on any device, and it is built on open standards such as OPC UA, MQTT and SQL.
Who owns the system when the project ends?
You do. The programs, screens, settings and documentation are handed over, and any cloud accounts are set up in your name.
Do you work with other integrators?
Yes. We work with international integrators on East African projects, which lets us take on larger jobs and deliver faster.
Can you help our engineers learn Ignition?
Yes. We run workshops, webinars and one-to-one sessions, online or in person in Nairobi. Inductive Automation's own online courses are free, and we can point you to the right ones.
How do we get started?
Send us a message through the contact form, or write to info@nedama.com, with a few lines: what the plant makes, which control systems it runs, and what you want to change.
Tell us about your plant
A few lines are enough: what the plant makes, what equipment it runs, and what is not working or what you want to change.
